Welcome to Worship in Motion. This is a worship class. My goal for this class is that the children will grow as worshipers, to grow in knowledge, in love for the Lord, and in skill. And I hope that they will find great joy in this.
Students will learn about the many different movement words in scripture that we are commanded to use in worship. In doing this, they will learn some Greek and Hebrew along the way. They will experiment with these movements, making them an offering of praise. They will also experiment with different worship props: flags, streamers, and billow cloths. I hope they will enjoy using these to make God’s praise glorious (Psalm 66:2)
Recommended books: Dance, Dance, Dance! and And a Child Shall Lead Them (If you want to buy the hard copy of this second book, you can give me a check for $22 in class and avoid paying shipping costs)
